I HATED summer required reading (Johnny Tremain, anyone?). And after last week’s episode I was beginning to feel like Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators was going to be this summer’s required reading. Plus, after chatting with some of my decorator friends, we all agreed that the show needed a big burst of something, anything to make it more watchable. Thankfully, last night’s episode delivered.
“Reality” tv or not, we finally got a taste of some of the real stresses decorators face. The reason to tune is to see how these masters solve problems. How/if they maintain their calm, soothe and insulate their clients, adjust their visions as items arrive for installation.
It was satisfying to see each of them in action. Jeffery swaps in an oushak for an unhappy daughter of his client and Nathan sets a contractor straight. Bravo, Bravo. MDD, I will tune in next week for sure.
