For a long time now, stainless has been king, and in most kitchens these days, it still is. Massive Sub-Zeros and Viking ranges have fueled our appetites for commercial, industrial environments. Over the past few years though, a complimentary trend of this industrial look has been the factory look – work lamps with edison bulbs, exposed rivets and seams, and workhorse fabrics such as burlap and muslin. Joining this chorus is brass – in all forms. From shiny to aged, brushed to burnished, the warm glow of brass is feeling new again. See if you can spot the trend and find some new ways to add some warmth to the austerity. Here are some of my favorite new additions.
